welcome

Welcome to Fifth Grade!

  • Welcome Back to School!

    Dear Fifth Grade Families,

I am looking forward to this upcoming school year and am excited for all the new knowledge your child will learn. I am especially excited FOR their faith growth and development. Our mission at Trinity is to prepare our students to be disciples of Christ through exceptional education, with a firm foundation in God’s Word.  Our goal is that each child will learn about Jesus; and that they will understand that Jesus is their personal Savior and died for each of their sins. We have a unique opportunity at this school to share our faith while learning all of the core school subjects. What an honor it will be to minister to these students in God’s kingdom!

I want to highlight a few points in this opening letter. Here is a list of the High School Prep staff members and their teaching duties that pertain to our class. You may email or set up an appointment if you have questions or concerns. Communication is key and we will do our very best to communicate with each and every one of you! A weekly newsletter for all HSP will go out every Friday and be found on our website: trinitynewthinking.org as well as each teacher’s web page.

Parents and students will have access to Gradelink this year to keep track of student progress and their grades. Students will also learn how to sign in too. Be patient with us as we help students navigate Gradelink and Google Classroom. This is a great way for parents and students to keep up with homework and projects. Again, please be patient for the first couple weeks as we get back into the swing of things. Thanks!

    Other HSP Newsworthy Notes:

    • Students will be traveling from class to class and the HSP teachers will be helping them get adjusted.

    • Students will have their own chromebook to use at school and take with them as they move from class to class. They will need to have computer access at home for completing assignments.

    • HSP students MUST wear a belt when belt loops are present.

    • We will be having a morning snack and we are asking that students bring a healthy morning snack.

    • On the first couple of days of school, our class will go over all the rules and procedures along with our schedule. We will also get organized and ready for this fabulous year. Lastly, we will get to know each other! May God bless you and this upcoming school year!

    In Christ,

    Ms. Hogan
