Before and After Care

Tiger Den (K-8 Elementary Students)

Tiger Den Before and After Care provides a safe and loving place before and after school for our Elementary students. Tiger Den is from 7:00-7:45am & 2:45-5:30pm Monday through Friday. Reservations are required. Tiger Den is closed during school breaks. 

Tiger Den is designed with time for outside play and time for homework. This program is not an academic extension of the school day. School dress code also applies to Tiger Den. Elementary students who need Before or After Care must be scheduled in advance using the monthly schedule. All reservations must be submitted one month prior––drop ins are not permitted due to our need to appropriately staff. Schedules are final upon receipt. Accounts will not be adjusted for absences or missed days. Failure to pick up your child at the end of class or special school activities will result in the late pickup fee of $1.00 per minute, billed to the student's account. Students enrolled in after care and not picked up by 5:30pm closing will be billed $1.00 per minute. 

Preschool & Pre-K Students: Before and After Care 

Before and After Care provides a safe and loving place before and after class for our Preschool and Pre-K students. Before Care is from 7:00-8:00am & 3:00-5:30pm Monday through Friday, based on your class selection. Before and After Care is closed during school breaks. 

Any Preschool students needing before or after care must sign up for their Before and After Care package. Preschool students must be signed up for Before and After Care––drop ins are not permitted due to our need to appropriately staff. Failure to pick up your child at the end of class will result in the late pickup fee of $1.00 per minute, billed to the student's account. Students enrolled in after care and not picked up by 5:30pm closing will be billed at $1.00 per minute. 

  • Parents will select their Before and After Care program package during enrollment and the annual charge will be split up over the 10 month billing period. 
  • We do not offer drop-ins for Before and After Care. Late pickup from class will follow the late pickup policy in the student handbook.
  • Parents may change their Before and After Care program selection at any time. Changes should be notified by the 15th of the month to go into effect the following month. 
  • Accounts will not be credited or refunded for unused days. 
  • Before and After Care will follow the school calendar and will be closed on all school holidays and breaks.

Trinity Lutheran School is a licensed Child Care facility with the Arizona Department of Health Services. We have stringent guidelines we have to adhere to. As soon as school dismisses, our playgrounds fall under those guidelines. Therefore, our playgrounds are closed before and after school to outside use. Children may not be left unsupervised after dismissal. Any children playing on campus after school hours will be checked into After Care. Fees will apply. If parents or guardians are on campus outside of school hours for any reason, their children must stay with them. Younger siblings must also stay with their parents during athletic events and practices.
