Student Support Services Policy
As a small, private Christian school, Trinity Lutheran School does not offer special education or resource services, nor are we required to implement or follow public school IEPs (Individualized Education Plans), 504 Plans, or formal evaluations. While we strive to support all students to the best of our ability, the absence of a special education department limits the scope of accommodations and services we can provide.
Admissions and Enrollment of Students with Identified Needs
Students with current or prior IEPs, 504 Plans, or formal educational evaluations must provide documentation to the school office during the admissions process. A shadow day will be scheduled to allow the student to experience the classroom setting and for staff to observe the student in the classroom setting. Following this visit, Trinity’s enrollment team will review the documentation and classroom observations to determine whether we can adequately meet the student’s needs in our learning environment.
Ongoing Evaluation of Needs
Trinity Lutheran School is committed to the success of each child and regularly evaluates whether a student’s educational and developmental needs can be met within our current staffing and support structure. If it becomes clear that a student’s needs exceed what Trinity is able to provide, we will partner with the family to identify and transition to an educational setting that is better equipped to support the child’s development. A list of recommended educational providers and specialists will be shared to assist in this transition.
By enrolling at Trinity, parents acknowledge and understand that while we strive to provide individualized attention and support, there may be cases where a student’s needs require specialized services beyond what we can offer.
Non-Discrimination Policy
Trinity Lutheran School admits students of any religion, race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities made available to the students at school. Trinity does not discriminate in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, and other school administered programs.
