Purple Star School

Trinity Lutheran School Earns Purple Star School Designation

We are proud to announce that Trinity Lutheran School is now a Purple Star School!

The Purple Star School designation is awarded to schools that show a strong commitment to supporting military-connected students and their families. To receive this honor, schools must meet specific requirements, including:

  • Dedicated Military Points of Contact: Mr. Bones and Mrs. Laney serve as the primary contacts for military students and their families.
  • Student-Led Peer Mentoring Program: A student-led program, guided by Mr. Bones and Mrs. Laney, provides peer-to-peer mentoring. Carefully selected and trained students welcome new classmates and offer support to help them adjust and thrive.
  • Military Family Resources: A dedicated webpage offering valuable tools and resources designed specifically for military families.
  • Staff Training: At least 70% of staff participate in professional development opportunities to better understand and meet the needs of military-connected students.

Military families come from many different walks of life, cultures, and locations. By earning the Purple Star School designation, Trinity Lutheran School demonstrates its commitment to providing military students with an educational choice that fosters stability, support, and success for the future.

We are grateful for the service and sacrifices of our military families, and we are honored to walk alongside you in faith, learning, and community.
