Grades K-8 Fully Accredited by (or) Accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)

WASC accreditation validates the integrity of a school’s program and transcripts, and assures a community that the school’s goals are appropriate and being accomplished through a viable education program. Furthermore, WASC accreditation is a certification to the public that the school is a trustworthy institution of learning and well being that is committed to continuous improvement and high quality learning and well being for all students. Through the WASC ongoing accreditation cycle, the school conducts an in depth self study, normally every five or six years, hosts a visit by fellow educators and engages all stakeholders in a follow up process of implementing, monitoring, and refining the resulting schoolwide action plan.

National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) encourages and recognizes Lutheran schools that provide quality Christian education and engage in continuous improvement. It is completely voluntary and is available for every school operated by a single congregation, by an association of congregations, or by a Recognized Service Organization of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod or the Lutheran Church—Canada. NLSA serves a variety of levels of schools — early childhood, elementary and high schools and all combinations of the aforementioned. It helps Lutheran schools evaluate their academic quality and the spiritual dimension of the school. The standards and report forms are similar to other accrediting processes, both secular and religious.

• The school is governed and administered according to written policy.
• A qualified and competent staff serves the school.
• The school has written curriculum that integrates the Christian faith and is supported by appropriate materials and resources.
• Christian teachers facilitate student learning to achieve the planned outcomes of the school’s curriculum.
• The school plans for and provides resources and activities for students beyond the standard classroom instruction.
• The school maintains a safe and healthy learning environment.
• All buildings, grounds and equipment support student learning and conform fully with applicable laws and building codes.
• The school has a financial plan to accomplish its mission.
